Connection is what matters.
Not long ago, I was the kid in the stands who would have done anything to get even a game-worn shin guard. That never left me. Everything I do in the community is about giving back what the game — and the people in it — gave to me.
- CONNECTION IS EVERYTHING -
I was that kid once.
Not long ago.
I remember being young, watching professional players walk off the pitch, hoping — just hoping — that one of them would look up. That one of them would sign something, say something, acknowledge that you were there. To a kid, that moment is everything. It stays with you forever.
I am that professional now. And I have never forgotten what it felt like to be on the other side of that barrier. The connection between a player and the people who show up for them is rare, and it is sacred. It is not something I take lightly — not for a single second.
To have built genuine relationships with fans, with cities, with communities — that is not common. And I do not take it for granted. I am truly blessed to have had my dreams realized. This is how I give that back.

- KEYNOTE SPEAKER -
Oakland Charter High School.
Their first choice.
In 2025, Camden was invited by Oakland Charter High School to deliver the keynote commencement address to their graduating Class of 2025. The invitation came directly from the school — they had encountered him at prior community events and reached out to Oakland Roots requesting him specifically.
Standing in front of graduates, families, and teachers, Camden spoke about purpose, setback, and what it really means to show up — not just for yourself, but for the people around you.

- LABOR ADVOCACY -
The first-ever USL Championship
labor agreement.
In 2020, Camden became part of a small group of players who helped negotiate and ratify the first-ever Collective Bargaining Agreement in USL Championship history. There were no existing standards. No template. No precedent.
His role required communicating complex labor rights across a wildly diverse player population — from 16-year-old prospects who had never graduated high school, to veterans who didn't speak English, to senior players with families and mortgages. He had to hold the line in rooms with club owners and league executives with significant institutional leverage.
The CBA was ratified. For the first time in USL history, there were binding professional standards for players. That is not a small thing.

- FOUR CITIES. ONE COMMITMENT -
Wherever the game took him,
he showed up for the city.

I would be nowhere
without the people
in my corner.
Every city. Every locker room. Every kid who stayed late after the final whistle. Every family who trusted me with their child. Every fan who wore the jersey. These are the relationships that define every chapter — not the trophies, not the appearances, not the accolades. The people.
