I was cut from my soccer team at 15 on the last day of the signing period. No options. No fallback. I dropped two levels, rebuilt from the ground up, and three years later the coach who cut me wanted me back. I said no.

From the last-place college team that became a top-25 program, to a 45th overall MLS Draft pick, to helping ratify the first-ever USL Championship Collective Bargaining Agreement, to retiring and making my first cold call three months later.

Nothing in my career has been handed to me. Every opportunity — I created. Every door — I knocked on it first.
